Tis The Season

5 Dec

After Thanksgiving we all seem to be in such a hurry. To be somewhere, to make something, gift buying and wrapping, working, parties, and hopefully a vacation will fit in there so the overwhelming tasks, and chores may not over take us. I find myself frequently saying, “I don’t have time”. I am checking my planner every few seconds to make sure that I did what I needed to do or that I didn’t forget to do something.

I almost had a panic attack when I looked at the list I formulated on the plane ride home from the Thanksgiving holiday. I almost had another panic attack when I didn’t complete some of the tasks I wrote out for yesterday, adding them to today’s tasks, which means that I will add those tasks to tomorrows.

If you are like me, being able to make time to drive to the store, park, wrestle people in the store, the dreaded checkout line (because you know the person you just made eye contact with, just informed you it is now a race to get there), juggling the presents you just bought to the car, driving back home and then unloading them and wrapping them. Is a bit much.

My favorite place(could be a coincidence) is Etsy.com. You can find anything there, from vintage finds, to desserts, to clothes. I picked out a few of my favorites that I would like to share with you!

I love popcorn, so when I came across spicespicebaby’s shop, I fell in love. What better than to give a popcorn lover a spice kit.

With all the photos that you will be in, make sure to add the special touch with this brooch and hair clip from studiohboutique.

For the entertainer in your life this would go perfect for the dinning room table for New Years Eve dinner. Made by daydreemdesigns.

Manly men always need a good flask by whimsyandink.

Traveling with the little one can be difficult, but FeeVertelaine has the cutest traveling family.

There are a few other sites that make life easier and I am going to share them with you.

I know sometimes it is hard to remember, but Christmas is not about the presents.

Here are a few tips to help with the stress:

1. Take a few minutes, relax, and drink some hot chocolate/tea/coffee.

2. Don’t look at the whole picture, it is much easier to work on one step at a time than worrying about 50 things at once. After you get one thing done, move on to the next.

3. It is okay to say no!
